About Supplier Wiki

Supplier Wiki is a practical reference for manufacturers preparing product information and answering sourcing questions. It focuses on work the supplier can control: a traceable product file, a comparable RFQ response, a lead time tied to actual dependencies, and a sample with a documented purpose.

The guidance is educational. It does not verify manufacturers, operate a supplier marketplace, report buyer demand, or promise enquiries, orders or improved search visibility. Examples are templates for discussion rather than claims about any factory's capabilities.

When a question turns on a specific standard, importing country, product rule or contract, check the applicable primary source and obtain qualified advice before committing to the buyer. Our articles name assumptions and link to supporting sources where they make an external claim.

Editorial approach

  • Explain the supplier-side decision first, then the document or record needed to support it.
  • Separate a proposed method from a legal or standards requirement.
  • Say “not confirmed” when capacity, certification, testing or buyer requirements have not been checked.
  • Revisit articles when their linked source or product context changes.
